Liz and Irwin

We meet up with the very cute twins Aisha and Ariana ....

...Liz, Irwin and new arrival Leon, at the south bank.

Our pram and Liz's triple buggy remain empty as the girls run about with Ryan and me, while Leon and Alex prefer being carried.

After visiting the Core exhibition and strolling along the river, dinner at Giraffe rounds off a lovely afternoon.

Show me the money

I attempt to "persuade" Ryan to support Southampton FC, rather than Liverpool.
Money well spent I think, if he lives up to his side of the bargain....

Alex is now big enough to enjoy the rides at the playground...
...well almost.

Welshpool-Handforth

We hit the road last weekend, first to Welshpool to visit Helen's nan, who was 90 on Tuesday.

Then it was on to Tom & Issie's in Handforth. Ryan was really pleased to catch up with Jess, who found Alex much more fun than her dolly.

And on Sunday Catherine brought Louis over to join in the fun.

Dracula

Sunday 1st October saw another 6th birthday party, this time for Ryan's best friend Sian. The theme was haloween, so Ryan went as the king of the vampires.

party

Ryan had his birthday party at home on Saturday. For reasons of space we kept the numbers down, but they all seemed to have a good time.

As well as 'pass the parcel' and 'musical statues' it is obligatory to play 'sleeping lions'.

Helen bought a pinata, but no amount of bashing would break it open until dad and uncle Paul laid into it.

After looting the contents, the kids brought the donkey inside and tore it limb from limb!
