6th birthday

Ryan is 6 today. The day started well with lots of presents to unwrap before school. Meanwhile Alex enjoyed playing with the wrapping paper.

Ryan's sunflowers came late this year.
One of them has wilted already, but it's growing 3 new heads!
Uploading photos from home now the morning.
Maybe blogger gets too busy in the evenings?

Lost Network Connection

I have been unable to upload photos to Blogger for a couple of days now -
'Safari can’t open the page “”. The error was: “lost network connection” (NSURLErrorDomain:-1005)'.
Apparently I am not alone.
Normal service may be resumed...........?

Drag racing

We spent the weekend with Jem and Vic in Cambourne, and today Jem took me and Ryan to Santa Pod to watch the drag racing.
It was fantastic but VERY LOUD.

On a disturbing note however, a friend of Jem's who was there phoned to say that after we left a spectator was killed. Apparently they were hit by a piece of flying debris in a freak accident.
More photos to come soon.

The grapes on our vine are ripening nicely. After rebuilding the carport roof with Jem back in February, they get more light and seem to be growing larger as a result.

Nono and the boys

Last Tuesday we had a lovely day visiting my mum in Lowford, Bursledon.
She had just returned from a birthday trip to Budapest with my brother Ian.

We went to Lakeside park, near Eastleigh, and had a ride on the miniature railway there. Everyone enjoyed the ride except Murphy, who nearly got his tail caught between the wheels and the track.
